The Jewish Florence.
Even though the Jewish Ghetto of Florence was abolished by the 19th century it seems that there are
still a lot of testimonies in the city to Judaism and to the Old Testament. More than just the impressive
19th century Synagogue, we shall see some clear, and some hidden testimonies of the Jewish religion in the
city.

Churches in Florence.
When looking at works of art in their original location, their meaning and strength become even more
profound and authentic. In this tour, through visiting different churches from different periods a great
opportunity will be opened up to us to develop a deeper understanding of what we see.

Saints in Florence.
In this visit we will observe the most famous works of art of the Palantina Gallery. Then,
concentrating upon the principal Saints in Christianity we will learn to recognize them and become
familiar with their stories. Thanks to this visit, we will be able to recognize these Saints in
future works of art.

Ecstasy and Visions in the Baroque Art.
More than just looking at the most famous works of art in the Palantina Gallery, we shall take a look
at different paintings that represent saints in states of ecstasy and vision. Examining these, we
will try to understand the message that the patron and/or artist was trying to transmit to the observer.

Islamic art in Florence.
Even though Renaissance art is a Christian based art, still it seems that it was inspired also by
Islamic art. In this visit we shall examine and try to explain this phenomenon.
